D.Overview of the Moose Youth Awareness Program and the agenda for the day. Introduce each student and where you are from. What they are doing in high school – any sports & hobbies.

E.Overview of the Moose Youth Awareness Programand agenda for the day. The reason you are here today is to learn to do KidsTalks to 4 to 9 years olds, to encourage them to to make wise and healthy choices in life, such as not smoking not using drugs, eating healthy, not drinking.

Explanation in detail of Moose KidsTalk program. This Program started in 1986. The Moose was asked by President Ronald Reagan to get involved in the War on Drug. Our First Lady Nancy Reagan started the “Say No to Drug” program. The Moose decided we needed to talk to 4 to 9 years old to obtain the best results in this program.

Challenge the students to present a minimum of three KidsTalks. These talks need to be completed by February 28^th, 2012. You need to mail them to Linda or I to have them judged by some of your peers at a high school that not in program.

Explain If you do at least three Kids Talks get them turn by February 28^th. The top Kids Talks will earn a trip to the Moose International Youth Awareness Congress. In White Plains, New York. On April 26^th to April 30^th 2012. You will get to spend a weekend with over 60 other Students from all over the Moose. This weekend will be paid by the Georgia Moose and the Lodge no cost to you or your parent.

Explain the five scholarships available. 1^st place is $12,000.00, 2^nd place $8,000.00, 3^rd place $5,000.00, 4^th place $3,000.00 and 5^th place $2,000.00.

Places you can do your Kids Talks.

Preschoolers.

YWCA and YMCA.

After School day care programs.

Sunday School groups.

Big Brothers and Big Sister groups.

Neighborhood groups.

4-H groups.

Elementary schools.

Head Start programs.

Tiger Cubs or Brownies groups.

Youth Sports leagues.

Moose Lodges Kids Party.
