District 1 - Lodge and Chapter Members:

The Canton Lodge shipped 21 LBS of shampoo to Moosehaven today.  That brings the total for the “ Shampoo for Moosehaven “ project in District 1 up to 416 lbs 3 oz.

This has exceeded the goal set by District 1 for year end 2008 of 250 lbs. ! !  If they keep this up, they will exceed their goal of 500 lbs shipped by the end of 2009, by far.  This was made possible because of the dedication of all the Lodge and Chapter members in District 1 to this important project. Which proves “ you can’t stop a charging Moose “   WAY TO GO DISTRICT 1  ! ! ! ! !

In the last few weeks, several other Lodges and Chapters in Georgia have adopted the “ Shampoo for Moosehaven “ project.  I know that given time, the other Districts will put together numbers like we have seen from District 1 since March.

Fraternally,  Ronald McDonald

Congratulation to District Six's Savannah Lodge 1550 on their successful
"Haunted Forest" which was held during three weekends in October.
They were able to raise around $20,000.00 during this frightful event
and witch will be donated to the Backus Childrens Hospital in Savannah.
