John R. Reiter serves as a member of the Moosehaven Board of Directors. He was appointed to this post in June 2008 at the 120th International Convention in Las Vegas.

John joined the Moose in 1989 at Ocala, FL Lodge 1014, where he served through all the chairs, including Governor for four years; he is a Life Member.  John has been active as the State Chairman for the Mooseheart/Moosehaven Admissions and is responsible for many residents’ admissions. 

John is a member of Cypress Moose Legion 202, he was a charter member of the Higher Degree Council and has served all chairs except President. He has served the Florida/Bermuda Moose Association as district president, loss prevention chairman, and all appointed and elected chairs, including President of the FBMA.

At the International level, John served as Assistant Inner Guard during the 2000 International Convention in Chicago.

John is a member of the 125 Division of the 25 Club. He received the Fellowship Degree of Honor in 1997, and the Pilgrim Degree of Merit in 2005.

John and his wife Sharlyn reside in Ocala with their three children and one
grandson.
